Artic Wedell
This project was developed for an Ergonomics course, considering perceptible aspects and incorporating as much technical information as possible to create realistic scaled models of both the entire vehicle and the crew area.
The Artic Weddell submarine is envisioned to depart from the Antarctic Peninsula. The journey includes a gradual descent into the Weddell Sea, navigating around and beneath massive icebergs while observing their structures and ecosystems. This is especially important, as the area is a nature reserve meaning a key part of the experience is learning how to protect it. The submarine approaches areas rich in marine life, where passengers can spot Weddell seals, emperor penguins, and various cold-adapted species.
